As the consulting firm gained momentum, Scott found a way to help the community in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region by initating the Genesis Project. That project involves
speaking to the leaders of houses of worship to explain a blueprint for becoming better stewards of our natural resources and energy. In the process, operating and maintenance costs can be reduced
allowing churches to divert those funds to more outreach efforts.
Scott Kriner, President and founder of Green Metal Consulting, started his career in 1981 in the metal construction industry, with emphasis on domestic and international coated steel technology. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and serves on the Advisory Board of the Eco-Intel.com project , Scott has published dozens of technical papers, articles and white papers. ram. He is also the author of a book titled "Wait and See", available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Nook and Kindle.
Scott is the founding chairman of the Cool Metal Roofing Coalition formed in 2002. He has held numerous positions of responsibility on the board of directors of the Cool Roof Rating Council, National Coil Coating Association and Metal Construction Association. He also served as chairman of the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) Weathering Farm Task Group, chairman of the CRRC Technical Committee, and past chairman of the Zinc and Aluminum Coaters Association. Scott is a member of the ASTM E60 Committee on Sustainability.
His previous work assignments include research, product development, and account management at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, technical marketing at Akzo Nobel Coatings, senior account management at Betz Dearborn, and technical management for BIEC International.
Scott has a B.S. and Master of Engineering degrees in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. He also holds a patent of improvement on 55% Al-Zn Alloy Coated Steel.
